Happy Forty-eighth Anniversary
Mary
It doesn’t take fancy verse,
Or a lot of money in your purse,
To draw me to your presence,
Your loving soul’s the essence.
For ourselves we shed few tears,
Over the past forty-eight years,
But for the animals we mourn,
That others abuse and adorn.
We have food upon our plate,
That’s not other animals’ fate,
God created our vegan fare,
So no animals would despair.
You have such a tender heart,
From which I can’t ever depart.
So today I renew our love,
For it comes from God above.
I Love You…
…with all my heart!
