"And God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good.
And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day" (Genesis 1:31)

(Thistle, Bull - 02) This is the beautiful bull thistle bloom that is just
beginning to open fully. There is a passage in the Bible that speaks of
the thistle as being part of the curse brought upon the earth as a result of
Adam's and Eve's disobedience (Genesis 3:17-18):
17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; (KJV)
The beautiful blooming flowers of the bull thistle are one of God's reminders
of His presence, coming renewal, and hope for the whole of creation.
