An Evening Meditation
by Andrew Pell
The nocturne hours slowly descend upon the fading daylight.
There falls a gentle hush as day turns into night.
Our daily activities wind down as we prepare for our evening meditation.
It is now a time of reflection and introspection.
Peace and tranquility now permeates our very existence.
There is little or no resistance.
Through the window, one can see a full moon claiming its ascendancy.
It’s soft light bathes the surrounding darkness without any hesitancy.
The birds of the night begin their evening symphony.
Their hymn of praise transcends to heaven; their song is pure musicology.
We give thanks for the day that is past.
We wish the evening hours would forever last.
