A Perfect World
Poetry and Music by Andrew Pell

Will there ever be a perfect world to live in?

A world without decay, disease or sin;

Could there ever be a world without violence.

The present killing and maiming makes no sense.

It is individuals that can create the peace and harmony.

Not nations, but you and me.

When you talk to someone let them speak.

Even though we may be tired and weak.

Focus and reassure them that you do understand.

If need be, walk with them and take them by the hand.

Treat everyone with respect.

This is simply not just for the elect.

Embrace all faiths as if they were one.

Then you will never see a setting sun.

We can build bridges together.

We don’t need to act better or clever.

Our hearts will become as light as a feather.

Give thanks each day for the friends and strangers we see.

Then there will be a perfect world, a world in harmony.
