Bewitched
Poetry by Diana Moreton

You will not be defeated
You will not be beheaded
Korean men will run from you
Their turn their skin is shredded!

You will strangle from the tree
torturers do grin with glee
Dusk to dawn the cruelty starts
Pound and beat to reach your heart

I will not let them barbecue
Bust and beat and tenderize you
Twisted, warped, deranged minds
Dastard deeds on borrowed time

Spill your bowels as death draws near
beating sticks pull and tear
Laughing...eyes are torn from you
Fur flies off for doggy stew

Man's Best Friend, bewitched again!
to think you had Korean friend
Fate unlucky, so unkind
Die dog, die, for slanted mind

This poem has been reprinted with the permission of the author with the understanding that it is dedicated to the millions of dogs, cats, and wildlife in South Korea and other Asian countries who are brutally tortured and killed for human consumption. Their cries have reached us.  For more information and to find out what you can do to stop the carnage.

What you can do:
Please send donations or contact the only Korean organisation that seems to be on the animals' side. The Korean Animal Protection Society (KAPS) and its international arm, the International Aid for Korean Animals (IAKA).
