Animal Rights, Spiritual and Inspirational poetry that touch the heart and soul, and provoke the mind.
As I step
into the woods
it’s like giving water
to a thirsty plant.
There’s an immediate
intake of nourishment.
The sky, the sights, the sounds
soak into all my pores
filling all my cells
with a tonic of rejuvenation
that goes beyond refreshment
or sustenance of my body.
It is mother nature’s
magic elixir,
brewed fresh
in every moment
so that even a small taste
gladdens my heart
and feeds my soul.
