BIRTH OF A DAYThe morning was born
With a burst of sun
And it shone on the earth, the sea..
The mountain peaks glowed
Where the night before snowed
And it shone on the hawk soaring free!
Sunbeams broke the mists
Of the valleys below
On a patch of wild daises it fell..
It warmed the streams
With its golden beams
And burrows where small creatures dwell;
Soft golden light
Burning and bright
Slipped into the deep blue of sea
It warmed the whale
And the dolphins at play
And slipped into the heart of me..
I sit in the glow
Of the morning new
God's world is precious, dear
A silky breeze
Caresses the trees
Gentleness....I feel Him near...
