Christmas Night
Poetry and Music By Andrew Pell
(A Christmas Meditation)
This wondrous night of nights
The shepherds beheld a great and wondrous sight.
The Angels spoke to them and said, go forth and seek.
A babe will be born, so gentle so meek.
The Magi followed a heavenly star,
Their journey brought them from afar.
They brought with them gifts for a King.
Their heavenly Choir did their Anthems sing.
The Inn was illuminated with a strange and wondrous glow.
God’s love did shine, that all mankind might know.
From this one momentous cosmic event,
That love was born on Christmas morn.
