Finger Lickin' Good!
By Mark Edgemon

Screaming chickens, slaughtered for a tasty meal,
In torturous head chopping machines, hence the phrase,
"A chicken running around with his head cut off",
Making pleas of pain, who's end, lay bleeding on the floor.

They wanted only the same happiness we all seek;
To be paid off in chicken feed and maybe a few nice words.
The pleasant words come later, following grace
And the smackin' of the lips; wiping grease on the jeans.
