The Garden of life
Poetry and Music by Andrew Pell

(Inspired by Father James Butt in his Sermon on the Garden of life)

We all walk in the abundance of the Garden of life.
God walks with us in the coolness of the evening.
In the garden you will find a variety of flowers and prickly thorns.
We venture into this garden every single morn.
When God walks with us, life has complete meaning.
The Garden of life has many exotic flowers.
Each on their own redirecting a special power,
The thorns are prickly but we endure the pain.
The Garden of life is so varied no flower is the same,
When things get out of control God takes us by the hand.
He never places a heavy demand.
At times it is always a gentle reprimand.
We all walk through this magnificent garden.
Even when we take a wrong turn we are offered a pardon.
God walks with us in the coolness of the evening.
The next day our hearts are always beaming.
