IF WE DIDN'T WAIT
Poetry by Noelene Sanderson

If we didn't wait for someone else
to do the decent thing;
if every lovely thought was
carried out:
the spontaneity of 'Be-ing'
would bring surprising joy about.
A freeing-up;  a genuine caring
every time that stress is spreading
its web of tension and of doubt.

Then, when another 'Be-ing' falls  -
just for the moment struggling up,
and if he sees us there and calls
upon our strength;  a friendly  'cup'
to cheer the way;
which one of us
will dare to say, "I haven't time; ANOTHER  Day!"
