Codependents master denial.
It's where they hide in the face of trial.

Don't rescue them when they're in the fire.
They must be there or they won't look higher.

For them to grow, they have to unlearn.
Their hiding place is with the Holy One.

And, then they learn they don't need to hide -
Because in Him, they learn how to abide.
