Animal Rights, Spiritual and Inspirational poetry that touch the heart and soul, and provoke the mind.
Thin ribbons
of pale sunlight
slide in
along the edges
of the window blinds,
touching the fringes
of my drowsy mind,
slowly
luring me away
from vague images
and distortions of the past,
softly
drawing me out of
the chaos and confusion
of the dream world,
gently
enticing me
toward
the crisp
clean
reality ―
the amazing privilege ―
of being
here and now
alive.
