Of Great Price
By Mark Edgemon

It's the adversities in life which make us strong,
If we concentrate on overcoming and not the problems,
If we know that the unexpected should be expected;
If we know that two wrongs CAN make a right,

If we learn from the wrongs.

It's the sand and the grit that makes us fine,
That adds the polish to an otherwise rough exterior,
That grinds down our imperfections and flaws,
If we let it and without anger, bless for another chance,

To get things right inside.

How does sand convince an oyster to give up it's pearl?
To daily embrace the grind and reach for perfection,
Or at least, as close as mere mortals can get.
It simply allows the abrasions of life to do it's work,

Knowing everything has a purpose.

There is great value of a perfected soul; a willing heart;
An understanding mind; a skilled response to any given moment.
There is wonderment in the aftermath of an overcomer,
Who became his own mission; completed and done, knowing

Embracing difficulties, will get you there!
