We must forgive as Jesus does
All those who go to jail
And ask ourselves and God
Where does society fail?!
What makes a tiny baby
Born innocent and sweet
Grow up to hate, do violence
The terror of the streets?
What makes our children turn to drugs?
What makes them take their lives?
What causes them to run away?
To live by guns and knives?

We cannot beat and batter them
Ridicule and curse their soul
We cannot starve them of our love
And expect them to be whole!
Some children who are victims
Stay victims all their lives...
And others react outwardly
And turn to guns and knives!
And when they act out what they've
Learned...
We throw them in our jail..
And want to kill them as they've killed
And wonder why they fail?

Each child belongs to all of us
We must not favor some
Love all children everywhere
Good citizens they'll become..
Through loving homes and churches
Living gently on the earth
Each one unique and special
Let each child know their worth...
Reach out to all dear children
So a loving world they'll find
Teach them to love all living things
They're the future of Mankind....
