How uncomplicated the bird
Who has kinship with the wind
It's color lends beauty to the earth
And it's voice lifts the spirit
Of all who listens....

How peaceful the deer
Who has kinship with the earth
Their presence brings gentleness to life
And lifts the spirit of all who see!

How magical the whale who breeches
The great oceans and has kinship
With all in the depths...
His voice speaks of ages and causes
Those who care to wonder!

How beautiful the butterfly
Daintily sitting upon the flower and has
Kinship with color...
Their fragility expresses the gentle power
Of our Creator who made us all!

My heart saddens to find harm has come to
Those who cannot speak...who cannot fight!
What harm have they done to the earth?!
Is their "sin" only that they live?
How sad....
For us!!.......
