SUMMER'S TOUCH
Poetry by M. Linda Steffey

Summer's touch
Is golden sun
And grass green and lush
Fireflies beneath the moon
In nighttimes quiet hush..
Sparkling beach
And bubbling brook
And cornfields tall that rustle
Having fun under sun
They cities how they bustle..
Summer tans
And baseball games
And dances, picnics, too..
Horseback rides and wooded hikes
And so much more to do...
Birdsong
All day long
Lightning strikes, the thunder
Evening storms rumble along
Umbrellas to run under!
Summer flowers
Light rain showers
The sparkle of morning dew
Each day breaks a brand new start
All fresh and grand and new...
Summer's touch
Brings new love
A time when hearts will sing
I always welcome summer's touch
Just to see what she will bring....
