The Fiery Pillar
By Andrew Pell

God led the Israelites through the burning desert sands,

As a cloud by day and a fiery pillar by night. He journeyed with them over many lands.

The God of Abraham and the God of Jacob will also journey with you.

You may not see a fiery pillar, but you will know his words are true.

Some of us may need a fiery pillar to motivate us from our apathetic and casual ways.

It is in this paralytic state that our blessings could face delays.

If we look carefully enough, we can see a fiery pillar in a single rose.

The imagery of that fiery pillar can motivate us even when we are feeling low.

It illustrates God’s personal love that he has for each and every one of us.

God by his very nature, we can have the utmost confidence and trust.

I don’t need a fiery chariot to know God is real.

His promise and quiet presence is as strong as any stately seal.

The fiery pillar illustrates God’s everlasting protection.

It gives us new hope and we will walk in a new direction.
