The Spirit Hunters
By Mark Edgemon

There is power given to the sons of men,
Greater than the strength of mortal might
And the instinct we follow to know right,
From lies which drips from the mouths
Of carnal fools. We are surrounded;
Compassed about; by invisible barriers
And unseen fetters strong; fastened
Tightly about our wrists; arrested by darkness,
To subdue our purpose; redirecting to failure.

Once held in the clutches of evil, we are branded;
Tagged and relegated to nothing; walking dead;
No longer a threat to Satan's plans for demonic rule;
No more joy in the morning day or expectation of salvation.
The sight of the living dead are shielded from Truth.
The few that are left, who believe and receive some
Level of His Word, are hunted; ensnared, trapped and caged;
Enraging those who endure, until the game is done and only
The truly righteous, the seekers of obedience - - remain standing.
