The Storm
Poetry by Mary T. Hoffman

Darkness has fallen like a shroud,
The trees rustle restlessly;
Above the windís song strong and loud,
The thunder speaks ominously.

A stiff breeze marches across the land,
The trees continue their swishing and struggling,
The sky is lit by lightningís hand,
But the thunder continues its warning.
