The challenge of life is to challenge
And BE challenged by others;
By obstacles, by barriers;
By the insidious word...no,
Often a blessing in disguise,
Decries the aftermath of a successful refrain.
The overcomer wins through persistence
And the willingness to reach beyond themselves;
Acquiring knowledge, when needed;
Courage, when summoned;
Faith, where cultivated;
And determination, as is required.
When growth has ceased, death moves in.
The once vibrant soul, becomes a carcass,
Waiting to be planted; death is perpetuated.
The excitement in life is growth.
It is learning, wanting; laboring upwards,
From faith to faith, in communion
With our Creator, Who set our lives in motion.
