What is Christmas?
By Andrew Pell

Christmas is a time for peace and love.
God descended to Earth. He left his royal throne above.

He was born that all mankind may know understand the Father’s will.
Mankind’s heart would be at peace; his mind would be still.

God’s glory overshadowed the earth.
The wise men traveled far; they brought frankincense and myrrh.

The inn that Christ was born was illuminated with a strange and mystic light.
The star above illuminated the Inn all through the night.

God was incarnated in human form.
Hope for a dark and depressed world was born.

That very same hope has not faded over time.
That very same hope is mine.

Hope that would treat all tongues; all races with respect and kindness.
The very same hope that we would not like to be treated any less.

Let the essence of the Christ stir our very being.
Let the miracle at Bethlehem take on new meaning.

Let our minds and our hearts meditate on that wondrous night of nights.
God’s manifested glory in human affairs will always shine so bright.
