Where You Been; Who'd You See
By Mark Edgemon

Are you visiting from celestial shores,
From places beyond our sight and senses?
Do you have a set of antennas above,
Tuning in to our human broadcasts?

You say you come in peace;
Knowing us, you'll leave in pieces.
Earthlings always extend a glad hand,
With all kinds of weaponry up our sleeves.

We humans are as honest as the day is long;
Oh look, we've told another hypocritical lie.
You can count on us; oh there, we've lied again;
Just ask American Indians about our veracity.

Peaceful beings beyond our known world,
We ask only to be left in peace and safety.
So there will be no worries on our minds,
While we ravage your alien societies for loot.
