Why Can’t People Live in Love?
Poetry and Music By Andrew Pell
Why do relationships fracture and break?
Some say it must be fate.
People grow apart and fall out of love.
They try to hide, but think enough is enough.
How sad that people forget their first embrace?
People in love respecting boundaries and space,
Remembering that special day with bow ties and lace.
Why can’t people work together to build on a relationship?
Fostering memories, planning trips, overcoming rips.
Why can’t people live in love forever?
It is sad when hearts are broken,
Relationships sever.
