Animal Rights, Spiritual and Inspirational poetry that touch the heart and soul, and provoke the mind.
A lacey layer of clouds
slides across the darkening sky,
The gleaming silver moon
winks brightly through the holes
leaving intermittent moonglow
luminating the snow-covered fields;
A gathering wind
is whipping through the bare woods
sending loose twigs and leaves
skating across the frosted ground
as a deepening cold
settles into the land;
An eerie chilling beauty
casts a spell around me
as the winter night takes hold,
And I smile to myself
as I hear the sharp yelp of a prowling red fox.
