- Lemons -

(Lemons)  Lemons are a very interesting citrus fruit.  They make an excellent addition to a variety of beverages and add flavor to salads and a wide variety of recipes; but, because of their tartness, they are rarely eaten by themselves.  Choose lemons that are firm and free of damage and mold.  Lemons keep very well in the refrigerator for a week or even longer.  See the nutritional charts for lemons without peel and with peel.
