(Parsley, Dried or Flakes) Dried parsley is also referred to as parsley flakes. We keep dried parsley leaves on hand for adding a mild parsley flavor to cooked foods, and when we don't have fresh parsley on hand. A simple rule to use for substituting dried for fresh is to use 1/3 of the amount of dried parsley for the amount of fresh parsley called for in the recipe (i.e. 1/3 cup of dried = 1 cup fresh, or 1 teaspoon dried = 1 tablespoon fresh). Commercially made dried parsley or parsley flakes are made by freeze drying. It can also be made at home in a dehydrator. See the nutritional information below.

The above recipe is in keeping with God's creation intent (Genesis 1:29-31): 'Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground-- everything that has the breath of life in it-- I give every green plant for food." And it was so. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.' (NIV) Let no animal suffer or die that we may live!
