My faith was in the faithfulness of God
And the purpose He desired for me.
For I deserved to fail and be failed.
I have been intolerant, when I have needed understanding;
Impatient, when I prayed for another chance;
Disdainful, as I myself begged for forgiveness;
Unresponsive to convictions as a cried for haste in others.
If the operation had failed, I believe I would have been destroyed.
I did not possess fortitude of strength;
Any depth of wisdom, nor shared in the Love of God.
Grace was what saved me;
A miracle of unmerited Love Divine.
Failure was my path;
Redemption was my life's reset.
The power I have to see has been given;
Undeserved in my past;
But that is what futures are made of...
