Within the Power Of Your Hand
The Church of the Most Holy God, which was a denomination of The Church of the Most Holy God In Christ, which was a split from the Most Holy God Of the Church In Christ, had a pastor, who looked more like a cross between an accountant and a disgruntled old man. The church operated by the denominational rulebook and rarely ever offended anyone with doctrinal Truth. The pastor just preached positive speeches on how to make it through life.
One day, an old woman came begging to the church for money to pay her rent, which was over due. The pastor told her she should sale something. When she said she had nothing to sale, he told her to go across town and sell some blood and also eat at the mission for the poor, which was three buildings down.
She left crying. The pastor didnít like being bothered.
As had happened twice before, the church under went a split over doctrinal issues, which they didnít even preach and cut the congregation to half the size it was previous. A few months later, the church split again, leaving only a handful of remaining church members. The head of the denomination fired the pastor, because there werenít enough members to pay his salary. When the pastor complained it was not his fault, the denominational head told the pastor he would also have to move off of church property where he was living.
The pastor left grieved and concerned for his well being. The head of the denomination was glad the task of firing the pastor was over. He didnít like being bothered either.
