LeoAll Creatures Do Go To Heaven
A biblical discussion and book by Bernard J. Coombs

Chapter 3

De-fearing death and eternal punishment

Dear Readers, since writing the words below (which were graciously put on the internet and hosted by the “Hoffman Foundation” over seven years ago – see www.all-creatures.org) and other places in the book – it seems that many people have mistakenly believed  that I am saying “that everybody gets to Heaven eventually on the same level, whether they give their lives to our Lord Jesus here on this earth – accepting Him as their Lord and Saviour, or rejecting Him and following their own wicked ways” – nothing could be further from the truth. What I do say and prove throughout the book, is, that every creature eventually gets into Heaven on some level or other according to the assessment of their soul/life here on planet Earth at the “GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGEMENT” and their acceptance of our Lord during the “dispensation of the fullness of times” which is much further amplified in the four chapters of part 4 at the end of the book.

The teaching of eternal punishment is one of the most GOD belittling teachings of all, when the teacher/preacher/advocate states/stresses that it will never end. Of course there is punishment – that is irrefutable – but that it will never end is what many teachers of Christianity teach. This view is despicable beyond the belief of anyone who truly believes that our GOD is a GOD of LOVE - The writer here, when he says that punishment is irrefutable is of course, only referring to the punishment of beings that have a conscience and should be capable of understanding sin and evil - yet deliberately reject our Lord’s sacrifice and live according to their own sinful devices – NOT animals or other creations who/which have only inherited the results of sin from "the fall" and who/which will not suffer any punishment at all after this earthly life - but only blessings.

The transliteration of the word "ETERNAL" from the original GREEK language is possibly the most controversial of any word in the Scriptures, so the writer will here reproduce his revised attempt to amplify/demystify this word from Appendix C (which is at the end of this book) for God’s glory.

*******************************************************

Revelation 20:10 "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."

Now this is where possibly the biggest deception – distorted belief – mistranslation - misunderstood and reprehensible teaching of the whole present day Christian belief occurs – that "for ever and ever" or "forever and ever" or "unto the ages of the ages" as written in the English language leads those who are not receptive to the Holy Spirit to believe there is no ending to eternal punishment (as many Christians believe and teach). This is entirely WR0NG, so let’s go back to the original GREEK and unravel this very controversial and misunderstood (by many) subject with the help of the HOLY SPIRIT.

We have already determined that the "lake of fire" can only be symbolic (see chapter 4), with the word translated here as tormented being βασανίζω BASANIZO meaning exactly that – try, test, pain, toss, vex, - so let’s try and understand that the words "for ever and ever" "forever and ever" do NOT mean that the age never ends.

Here are the actual Greek words that are translated into the English language as "ever and ever".

Book 3-1

Unto the ages of the ages. For ever and ever. For evermore.

The Scriptures describe but do not actually define eternal life. One of the nearest approaches to a definition is given in John 17:2-3. "As thou hast given Him power over all flesh, that He should give αίώνιον ETERNAL life to as many as Thou hast given Him. 3 And this is life αίώνιος ETERNAL that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom Thou hast sent."

You will perceive that both of the Greek words are different from each other and both are different from both of the "Ages of the Ages" below.

AIŌN αίōn αίών in the following transliterations means –"an indefinite period of time."

Here are accurate copies of three verses showing the shades of meaning in the original Greek from YOUNG’S ANALYTICAL CONCORDANCE TO THE HOLY BIBLE.

Book 3-2

5. To ages of ages,

Rev. 14:11 smoke...ascendeth up for ever and ever

You will see that the above copy uses αίōn

Book 3-3

6. To the age of the age

Heb. 1:8 Thy throne, O God, (is) for ever and ever:

Notice particularly that the above copy does NOT use αίōn

Book 3-4

7. To the ages of the ages

Rev. 20:10 tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Perceive meticulously that the above copy DOES use αίōn

What more can the Writer write in a very short treatise? Except to say – if you disagree with the above interpretation of pure scripture, which says that αίōn does not mean never ending, but does mean an indefinite time period – pray about it with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and read the rest of the book with an open mind.

Our GOD is a God of LOVE. He could not possibly allow HIS beloved creations for whom our Lord was crucified to suffer for time without end.

This book is about everything that our God has ever created, being renewed by Him according to His promise, and given a full wonderful eternal (never to end) life as He originally intended, before Lucifer fell and sin with all it’s diabolical ramifications entered into God’s creation.

Here are a few verses, which have been amplified in other chapters.

Ephesians 1:10 "[He planned] for the maturity of the times and the climax of the ages to unify all things and head them up and consummate them in Christ, [both] things in heaven and things in earth," (Amplified).

1 Corinthians 15:25 "For He (Christ) must reign, till He (God) hath put all enemies under His (Christ’s) feet".

The first fundamental absolutes we need to study in order to reach our final conclusion about all creatures being in Heaven or the renewed Physical Universes and completely happy for eternity; are found in that passage of Scripture that has instilled stark fear into untold millions of people for many centuries; but as we unravel the several translational anomalies and keep in mind our enlightenment about the Human Spirit (chapter 2) the trepidation and fear that usually accompanies those who read or hear it – should entirely disappear.

THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT

(STARTING TO DEMYSTIFY DISTORTED BELIEFS)

Revelation (the Apocalypse) 20:11 "And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God [throne]; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell [the grave] delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and hell [grave] were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (K.J.V.).

For those of you who fear death – DON’T! Stay with these next few pages, and your fear of death should disappear. (The lake of fire is amplified in chapter 4)

Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"…(whenever the words "man’ or "men" are used in Scripture the content usually includes women without saying so).

Verse 11 of Revelation ch. 20 will be examined later, but we will now amplify verse 12.

12 "And I saw the dead, small and great stand before the throne; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books according to their works."

TWO WORDS which it is inestimably important to realize are not in the original manuscripts, have been added to this scripture (purportedly to clarify it) but have in effect completely altered the original meaning (in many translations these two words are italicized to verify this). The two words are – `THE BOOK’; referring to (the book) of life; so the passage should read – "… and another book was opened which is of life:" In truth this is not THE book of life – but "A" book of life. This is one of those hidden truths we will examine shortly, but first back to 12. "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before the throne; and the books were opened:…" In these books (or scrolls) is written the souls (lives) of every creature who does not at this judgment time already have free access to heaven.

John 5:29-29 "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil unto the resurrection of Damnation."

This translation from the authorized King James version is WRONG (even though some preachers still love to use it to terrorize their listeners). The Greek word used here and translated DAMNATION is κρίσις KRISIS which simply means judgment (not necessarily condemnation) and is so translated 41 other times in the New Testament. So all these myriads of beings – whose lives are recorded and opened up in the books, and whose spirits are waiting to be united with a new glorified body, and clothed with that part of their souls which has been judged worthy – are raised to receive righteous judgment.

Luke 12:2 "For there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that shall not be known."

Acts 17: 31 "Because He hath appointed a day, in the which He will judge the world in righteousness."…

WHO WILL BE JUDGED?

2 Corinthians 5:10 "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ."

Matthew 25:32 "And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another."

2 Peter 2:4 "For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to TARTAROO, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment."…

Jude 6 "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day."

These and other scriptures tell us that not only all earthly beings will be at this judgment, but all the heavenly beings that have in times past rebelled against their Creator.

WHAT WILL BE JUDGED

Revelation 20:12 "And the dead were judged (sentenced) by what they had done (Their whole way of feeling and acting, their aims and endeavors) in accordance with what is recorded in the books." (Amplified Bible).

The life (soul) of every creature is recorded in the books, with one whole book being an absolute and complete history of that being’s life.

Math 12:36 "But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day judgment.

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned."

Romans 2:14 "For when the Gentiles (heathens) which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the meanwhile accusing or else excusing one another;

16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel."

This means that people not knowing God’s law are judged according to their conscience – their acquired understanding of what is right. Otherwise how could it be a righteous judgment? So the whole life of the being from conception to death is meticulously examined and assessed.

So continuing with Rev. 20:12 "… and another book was opened which is (the book) of life:" The fact that the two words `the book’ are not in the original manuscripts cannot be overstressed, because this book is not God’s book of life of the chosen ones. Let us read it again as originally written.

Revelation 20:12 "… and another book was opened which is of life."

THE RECORDS BOOK OF LIFE

This records book contains the record of the conception or creation of every creature since God began to create life that at that point in time is not a heavenly citizen. This is the record book from which names are blotted out (crossed off) by the presiding judges.

Revelation 3:5 "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment: and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life." (The word book here is biblos which means a recording book as in the following verse).

Matthew 1:1 "The book of the generations of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham, Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat…".

So every spirit whose name is in the records book of life, will be brought to the judgment throne to watch their souls being judged by those whose names are presently written in GOD’S book of life.

RECORDS BOOK OF LIFE REVISED

This is the same book of the records of creation, with the names of those found completely incapable of accepting Jesus as their King, and having lived completely reprehensible lives in their former bodies – blotted out of the records book. (Erased – crossed off).

Psalm 69:28 "Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous."

Revelation 20:15 "And if any one’s name was not found (left) written in the book of life, he (his soul – not his spirit) was thrown into the Lake of Fire." (to be completely annihilated)

NOW! The good part starts - because - contrary to the beliefs of many Christians it is only the soul (earthly life) that is crossed off annihilated in the LAKE OF FIRE.  And the spirit that God created in conception - goes on. This statement is proved beyond any shadow of doubt in the next Chapter.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 "Then shall the dust (body) return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." (to a place of waiting for the Judgement).
