Movie-making for Expendables 2 resulted in the killing of about 22,000 endangered bats in Bulgaria. The crew disrupted a cave full of hibernating bats, causing approximately 30,000 to flee; it’s estimated that only 8,000 later found a new spot to resume hibernation.
