ACTION

On Sunday, May 26, 2019, 9-year-old gelding Kochees was euthanized after sustaining an injury during a race at Santa Anita Park the previous day — marking the 26th horse fatality (31 if you include off-track deaths) since the start of the season in Dec. 2018.

201 horses have died at Santa Anita Park racetrack in the past five years.
