The State Forestry Corps seized the "Green Hill" compound, the well-known facility located in Montichiari in the province of Brescia, that breeds beagle dogs for vivisection labs.

The inspection and impounding procedures, arranged by the Public Prosecutor of the court of Brescia, involved some 30 service members of the forestry corps of Brescia, Bergamo and the Investigative Unit for Crimes against Animals (NIRDA).

Also present was the Police staff from the Brescia headquarters. The operation liberated beagle dogs, both puppies and adults, while seizing the entire structure consisting of four warehouses, offices and related appurtenances for a total of about 5 hectares.

Alleged animal abuse is amongst the counts handed down.
