Not Just for Easter "Gifts" Protests - April 8 and April 15

Albany Animal Rights will be joining Space Coast Animal Rights for the #NotJust4Easter campaign this year in front of Colonie Center Mall, Wolf Rd. side near Barnes and Noble in Albany, NY.

There will be TWO protests Saturday April 8th and Saturday April 15th Each protest will begin at 12:00 pm and run until 2:00 pm.

Signs will be provided, but feel to make your own (they have great impact!)

From Space Coast Animal Rights:
"This campaign was started last year with the hope to significantly decrease the number of animals purchased as Easter gifts. Did you know that 95% of animals bought for Easter die before their first birthdays? Many rabbits and chicks fall ill or injured, are discarded to the streets or end up in kill shelters. The lucky ones make it to rescue. Our initiative involves a social media campaign, donations and protesting. ANYONE can help! See below on how to participate!"
