Protest The Zerbini Circus in Dalton MA - July 10-11, 2017

Once again, the Dalton Lions Club, in opposition to the preferences of the Lions Club International, will be bringing circus with animals to Dalton, MA on Monday, July 10th & Tuesday, July 11th. Once again, the Dalton Lions are operating in opposition to a large section of the local community who are opposed to animals preforming in the circus. Once again, they are bringing in the Zerbini Circus, which has camels, dogs, ponies, and a buffalo. Once again, we will be there to raise our voices for the animals. Each protest is for one hour before each show and is as follows:

On the sidewalk outside the American Legion Field on Route 9, at the same place we have been every year: 56 North St. (Rt. 9) Dalton, MA 01226

Protest Times:
(2 shows each day = 2 protests each day, one hour before each show)

Monday, July 10th: 4:00 to 5:00 & 6:30 to 7:30 PM
Tuesday, July 11th: 4:00 to 5:00 & 6:30 to 7:30 PM

We should have enough signs if you need one. You can also make your own (without sticks per police order), that would be great!
Please remember not to bring signs depicting Elephants, Lions or Tigers.
We hope you can make as many of the four protests as you are able.

The Zerbini Circus has featured, among other animals, alligators, camels, ponies, and a bison named Tatanka. These animals are intelligent beings who perform not because they choose to, but because they are forced to under the command of human trainers wielding whips and other disciplinary weapons. This circus has been cited year after year by the USDA for failing to provide minimal care for their animals. For more information on the Zerbini Circus see:

inherent cruelty of animals in circuses. Here are their email addresses:

This circus does not have Elephants, Lions and Tigers. The Dalton Lions Club is touting this circus as “domestic animals”.
How many “domestic” Camels do we have in our area?

Thank you in advance for the animals!! We hope to see you there!
