2014 Facing New Ag-Gag Bills
Already the first ag-gag bill for 2014 has been introduced in Indiana. This bill, if passed, could make felons out of whistleblowers exposing unethical or illegal activities on industrial farms. Such ag-gag bills are a devious strategy used by the animal agriculture industry to keep animal abuse, people abuse, food safety and public health issues, and environmental devastation behind factory farms and slaughterhouses’ walls.
The animal-based agriculture industry has so much to hide that they fear the public would learn of it and stop consuming their products. And they are right at fearing the inevitable exposure that they are facing. Let’s keep working on defeating ag-gag bills and helping everyone see how destructive this industry is on all of God’s Creation.
