Dear Gillian:
Thank you for writing and for your comments about the problems inherent with commercial animal farming.
From everything we have been able to find out about commercial organic, cage-free, and free range operations, they treat their chickens with the same disregard as do the other factory farmers. The male chicks are still killed in the same way, and they don't provide any vet care.
Our personal conclusion has been that the best way to end the cruelty inflicted upon farmed animals is to withhold the money from the industry by not buying their products.
We hope this answers your questions, and we hope that you enjoy our cruelty-free recipes.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
