' is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see...' Hebrews 11:1

And yes, I quoted the Bible! :) ....In addition, 2 Timothy 3:16 says, 'All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.'

The Bible is a historical document that has stood the test of time. Research shows that it is grounded, consistent and lays out the plan of salvation via Jesus Christ.

While it is true and also Biblical that God reveals Himself in many ways to His beloved, He does so consistently and not in disharmony with His Word.

Ray, if you do not believe that the Bible is the Word of God, then how are you 'hearing' God? How do you know, in your broken state, that what you are hearing is truth? On what do you base your opinions? Do you have moral absolutes? If so, on what do you base them? How will you know when you are being told untruths about God, if you have no blueprint for who and what He is?
