Dear Joyce:

We just published your excellent article. It answers/explains a lot of things about emotional/social development, but at the same time it leaves a lot of questions unanswered.

As an example, in our opinion the indifference to the suffering of animals, and the related lack of empathy, are part of a sociopathic behavioral trend, which has been going on for thousands of years. If the mother is one of these people, which most are, how do we break the trend of developing more sociopaths?
