Well, the cursing a lot and political beliefs may be reasons to not be best friends with some vegans, but they should not stand in the way of vegans working together toward common goals.

In general, a tendency to curse and having different politics do not translate into disrespect. However, hostility to Christianity serves only to divide the already small vegan community. I think I know where this hostility comes from. Many anti-animal people are self-described Christians, and in addition these Christians are the hardest for secular animal activists to talk to because there is little common ground for discussion. Bible-based Christians find non-biblical, secular arguments irrelevant, and the secularists find the Bible irrelevant.
