Hello Frank and Mary:
I just discovered your site today and find it very interesting and uplifting, for the most part. In reading over the discussion on Veganism and the Bible, you refer to when Jesus divided dead fish to the multitudes along with bread(in reference to your comments from 11-25-07).
Couldn't this be construed as God condoning eating meat? I mean, I realize the fish weren't intentionally killed to be eaten, but that is beside the point; the fact that God distributed animals to be eaten, whether already dead or not, rather troubles me as to just how God feels about eating animals in ANY situation.
Hope I'm making sense and that you could shed some light on this, as I would truly like to believe that the Lord wants us to be vegan, being that I'm a believer in Him as well as in compassion and mercy for ALL beings.
Thanks,
Lisamarie.
