"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful. At the same
time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel
called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.
Early in the morning, several days ago, as usual I glanced outside toward the eastern sky; but what I saw was an unusually spectacular red sunrise. Immediately, I grabbed the digital camera, stepped outdoors, and took a few photos. This is one of them.
Sometimes when I see a red sunrise or sunset, I’m reminded of the old saying that goes something like this: “Red sun in morning, sailors take warning; red sun at night, sailors’ delight.”
Well, I’m not a sailor; so I take delight in red sunrises, as well as red sunsets!
