A Mary T. Hoffman Commentary from All-Creatures.org

"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

Thoughts for Today – 12 July 2008
By Mary T. Hoffman

The following quotations are attributed to Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862): American author, poet and philosopher –

“It takes two to speak the truth: one to speak, and another to hear.”

“It's not what you look at that matters; it's what you see.”

“If you would convince a man that he does wrong, do right. Men will believe what they see.”
