A Mary T. Hoffman Commentary from

"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

Thought for Today – 10 November 2008
By Mary T. Hoffman

“You put a baby in a crib with an apple and a rabbit. If it eats the rabbit and plays with the apple, I’ll buy you a new car.” – Harvey Diamond, American author Co-author of Fit for Life

In 1989 Harvey and Marilyn Diamond warned against eating such products as hydrogenated vegetable oil. It has taken nearly twenty years for health officials to admit that it is harmful to health.

My husband Frank and I have been vegan, eating mostly unprocessed fruit, vegetables, grains, nuts, and legumes, for over twenty years; and we take no medications.

Just imagine how wonderful it would be if this were a vegan world! There would be less suffering by humans and nonhumans alike.
