"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

Filth Eaters – 4 January 2009
By Mary T. Hoffman

It’s really amazing how so many of those who eat animal-derived products (the vast majority of people) make all kinds of excuses to avoid eating with vegans/vegetarians; yet it never seems to occur to these same carnivores that they routinely eat the feces and pus cells that are found in meat and dairy.

This is an unavoidable fact that is part of the slaughter process and of milk production. As a matter of fact, our government regulates the number of pus cells that are allowable in milk products sold to consumers.* When Swiss scientists discovered that organic milk contains enormous amounts of bacteria, they concluded that organic milk is no better than conventionally produced milk.

* “US government regulations permit pasteurized milk to have up to 750,000 lymphocytes [pus cells], 20,000 bacteria, and 10 coliform organisms per 1/5th teaspoon – about 8 drops! But at 40 degrees F, the temperature of a good refrigerator, the population of those ‘bugs’ can double every 35-40 hours!” – From: “Moooove over Milk”
