No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

Vegan Cats and Dogs – 18 February 2009

That’s right! Cats and dogs can thrive on food that contains no animal-derived products. For more information visit: vegancats.com or call them toll-free at 866-88-VEGAN. I like their cute ad in VegNews magazine: A photo of a cat with the caption, “Where do I get my taurine? Yawn. That’s like me asking you where you get your protein!”

Lately we’ve been hearing about more animal companions who have cancer. It makes us wonder if there is a connection between the commercial food they are fed and the onset of the disease. Common sense tells you that the scraps that are deemed unfit for human consumption would go into producing “pet food.” And we all know how full of antibiotics, bacteria, mercury (in fish), etc. animal products sold for human consumption are, don’t we?!

The people who refuse to believe that cats can be healthy as vegans remind me of Mark Twain’s famous saying: “A lie goes half way around the world before truth puts on its boots.” Also: "If man [people] could be crossed with the cat, it would improve man [people] but deteriorate the cat."
