World on fire

World on fire

The world ablaze,
climate enraged.

I sit awash in water,
UK, damp sodden.
A safer delirium in a world
gone mad.

The world ablaze,
climate enraged.

On fire,
compounded issue.
Island of scorch and hiss.
Species extinction,
ringing of hands,
a disbanding of sanity.

The world ablaze,
climate enraged.

Lack of marbles,
melted glass of
humanity.
Fire that rages.

The world ablaze,
climate enraged.

Creatures,
displaced,
humans insipid.

The world ablaze,
climate enraged.

We have risen,
and we have fallen.
Dead-creature-walking
in a world on fire.
