Paradise Lost

There was a paradise on earth many eons ago.
Yet we have very little of it left to show.
We have made life difficult for us.
Everything that needs to be done is done with a lot of fuss.
This is not how God intended us to live.
We were meant to live in peace and to forgive.
We were meant to live in tranquillity and everlasting bliss.
Yet we shun these concepts that we do not miss.
We were not worried about the busyness of time.
In that Eden life was truly sublime.
Then in microsecond of time, we became aware of knowledge.
This same knowledge would transport generations from Eden’s lush green foliage.
We also had an understanding of what is evil and what is good.
Now we continue to dwell in the realms of falsehood.
This was not part of God’s plan for the human race.
Now we venture into the far reaches of outer space.
Not to find God, but to explore for the sake of exploration.
Yet is God that provides the divine inspiration.
How we all look forward to a walk in a park.
We hear the sound of bird’s chirping the haunting song of a lark.
Yet because we wanted more, aeons ago, we traded down.
Now we hear jackhammers, clients talking, and continual sound.
Do we not feel we made a big mistake?
Yet God in his complete love he will not forsake.
