COOL BREEZE SMOOTHIES
Makes 2 tall ones
Any variety of fruit can be whipped
into a delicious smoothie, providing you have at least 1
banana/blender-full. They include, but are certainly not limited to:
strawberries, papayas, apples, seedless oranges, kiwi fruit, apricots,
peaches, pears, blue– or raspberries, etc. The sky’s the limit! Using
the recipe below, feel free to substitute any other type of fruit you
choose for anything but the banana. If you need to prepare several
servings, just be sure to only mix them up two at a time, so you keep
the blender from becoming overloaded.
1 banana
6 oz. Any one or combination of fruits listed above (you can even do
all banana if you’d like). It averages out to about 1 1/2 or 2
pieces of large fruit, or an over-sized handful of berries.
1 cup of juice (any flavor that’s sweet, such as: orange, apple, peach,
pear)
1 cup dairy-free milk substitute (such as soy, rice, almond or
multi-grain)
2 Tbsp. Dairy-free sour
cream (Note: this item is an optional addition and is certainly not
mandatory for a smoothie).
Put all ingredients into a blender. Blend until
smooth, about 2 minutes. Smmmoootheee!
