Campaigns Deer shot by bow dies in front of Pomona residence Published in THE JOURNAL NEWS
By Steve Lieberman - October 19, 2006 POMONA - A deer was found dead today of an arrow wound in front of a
Halley Drive residence in Pomona, police said. Lt. Michael Moore said the deer was shot during bow season and probably
ran off and died near the house. Under state rules, hunting is allowed with the landowner's permission and
500 feet from a residential area. Moore said police did not know who killed the deer. He said the
department doesn't maintain information on who allows deer hunting on their
property. He said he is aware that property owners in Haverstraw do. Fair Use Notice: This document may contain
